Samantha joined the staff of Local 7 in August 2019 as Associate General Counsel in the Legal Department. During her time as Associate General Counsel, Samantha worked closely with the staff and membership on a variety of issues, with a focus on legal research and litigation.

On the NLRB front, Samantha filed and worked on unfair labor practice charges, securing thousands of dollars in backpay for wrongfully terminated employees. She also litigated numerous pre-election hearings – in the face of myriad employer objections to representation petitions, Samantha secured orders directing elections be held for workers to vote to join Local 7. She was thrilled to celebrate the addition of many new members!

On the arbitration front, Samantha litigated both contract violation and disciplinary issues. Her victories included numerous reinstatement orders, make whole financial remedies, and the preservation of bargaining unit work.

In the Spring of 2024, Samantha was promoted to Healthcare Director and works closely with Local 7’s Kaiser membership. Samantha is honored to continue to grow as a worker advocate and leader with Local 7. Although Samantha continues to follow developments in labor and employment law, she is enjoying her retirement from the practice of law.

Samantha lives in Lakewood with her husband and dog. She can be spotted running, biking, and hiking throughout Colorado.
